I came across this quote on twitter and knew it held special implications for me. I greatly enjoy poking fun at ignorant people, and I’m my opinion, anyone who subscribes to any religion is ignorant. Enjoy the quote.
“Your right to religion sort of ends at my right to mercilessly mock you.” – Joel Gruns.

LOL man with all due respect do you happen to know that MANY great writers/poets (T.S. Elliot, C.S. Lewis) and musicians (Bach) were part of a religion?!?!?!?! In all my life I’d never seen a remark like yours LOL!!!!!! Not everything in life is dressing and being cool. It takes a LOT of courage to really be yourself. I mean, you are the one mocking ignorant people?!?!!? LOL

LOL as hell! Man, does Ricardo know that these writers/musicians were great writers/musicians, but obviously very confused about how the world started and perpetuated itself? i.e. evolution. Despite their talents and propensities for writing and music, their view of reality was fffucked (At least they had an excuse, ricardo! haha). I mean, the talkin snake??!!! The garden of eden!???!!!! HAHAHAHAH. i mean, cmon on bro!

You really think religion is just Christianity? And that that Christianity is only the garden of eden and the talking snake? Okay last post here, hope I can help you guys with this:
Books to read and then question and attack Christianity:
City of God- St. Agustine
Mere Christianity- C.S. Lewis
The Everlasting Man- G.K. Chesterton
The fundamentals upon which Christianity is built is far more complex than what most people know. And that goes for all religions. I respect your atheism, but I find it crude and ridiculous that you try to mock something you don’t understand just for the sake of it. To tear down something you must really know how it works and look for it’s weak parts. I ask that you guys take a closer look at stuff. C.S. Lews and T.S. Elliot knew about Darwin and most modern “theories” about the start of human life. But they knew the Gospel’s too and settled for the latter. I personally find it increideble that people lash Adam and Eve’s story so hard yet they buy an UNPROVED theory which is even harder to imagine possible. All in all to each his own, just read more guys that’s all I ask, informing yourselves will give your arguments more credibility. Read Darwin’s bio, read what Christianity is really about, Buddhism, Judaism etc…
A young man who wishes to remain a sound atheist cannot be too careful of his reading.
C. S. Lewis

crude and ridiculous? you assume i dont understand christianity without knowing me or anything about me.
The most important thing to address here is your claim that evolution is unproved (actually the word would be “unproven,” but so is gravity, — just a theory). Further, the scientific community is 90% certain that an evolution took place — and they also have evidence. Christianity (and all the other BS religions) REQUIRE a leap of faith: translation: there IS NO evidence whatsoever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HAve you ever seen or heard a talking snake? or do you really believe that A WOMAN (way too convenient) ruined it for all of humanity in the garden of eden?!!! No, you dont, because youre a smart person, i bet. youre just trying to kick up dust. The fossil record is not as holy (haha: full of holes) as the religious right and Anne Coulter would have you believe. In fact, there is OVERWHELMING evidence for it (see, Buffon and function less toes etc etc etc etc). The bibles only defense is, “you must believe, or go to hell!” I take comfort in knowing that, if youre serious, haha youre already there….
